IS MILEY CYRUS DATING DOUGLAS BOOTH?

It seems that even before Miley Cyrus’ breakup with Liam Hemsworth got through the grapevine, she’s been seen around town in a “flirty” way with Douglas Booth. Now, the Waterford, Michigan bartender who saw them together, along with their other two Laughing Out Loud costars, Tanz Watson and Ashley Greene, did say “the flirting was very respectful” in that there was no kissing. But he also said “I thought they were boyfriend and girlfriend, they were flirting so much.”

The big problem with this is that Douglas Booth is reportedly in a 3 year relationship meaning he has a serious girlfriend. If this is true, I bet he doesn’t have one anymore if the girlfriend finds out what this bartender said about Booth: “For his part, he seemed to be eating up all the attention” paid to him by Cyrus who was “falling all over him.”(I have to ask why does this bartender care so much?)

At the same time, there’s no buzz yet about why Miley Cyrus and The Last Song costar, Liam Hemsworth, broke up. Guess they hit a sour note? Not funny. There were also rumors that Miley was dating Adam Sevani so who knows? Hey come on, remember the idiotic rumors about Miley Cyrus dating Justin Bieber? She only had dinner with the guy and joked he was so cute and small to put in her pocket like a key chain I think she said. Oh maybe I’m just making up that part, who cares?

But it apparently wasn’t only the Michigan bartender who noticed flirting vibes between Douglas Booth and Miley Cyrus, they’ve been spotted all cozy in public together at a few other places.It’s would seem that they don’t care who sees them or who thinks what about the two of them, doesn’t it?

KARA TRIED TO QUIT ‘IDOL’ MONTHS AGO

According to reports from, well, just about everywhere, American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi tried to lose her job months ago. At first it kinda sounds like a saving face thing like I’m quitting before I’m fired, since the buzz about ‘Idol’ firing all 3 remaining judges and getting all new ones with superstar names like Steven Tyler, Brett Michaels (my pick!!!), Harry Connick Jr. (my least fav) and Shania Twain.

You just wonder how many names they need to toss around, but apparently Simon Cowell was getting like millions a year (anywhere from 36 – 144 million depending on which reports are true or not) so who wouldn’t want his job? I just wish they would keep Randy – Kara, I don’t know… I ‘m not a big fan of hers, but I’m not a hater either.. She was passionate and seemed to try and genuinely want to help the AI contestants, but I don’t know…

What was up with her and Ellen? I mean, was it just me or did those two hate each others’ guts? And near the end of the last season, she was like practically wrapped around Simon like a coat and totally ignoring Ellen on her other side. Speaking of Ellen Degeneres, I think she’s awesome, but agree with those who say she’s just not right as an American Idol Judge.

Anyway, if Kara DioGaurdi tried to quit a few months ago why didn’t the powers that be at American Idol just let her? Aren’t they cleaning house or what?

AI is reportedly keeping Kara hanging due to something in her contract and won’t give her an answer until they decide on their whole judging situation. That must be aggravating to Kara DioGaurdi to be in career limbo like that!

BRITNEY PAYS BACK MEL GIBSON

Well there’s someone who appreciates Mel Gibson’s phone calls – Britney Spears. She and Gibson have been exchanging late night telephone calls recently. Apparently Mel’s been confiding in Britney that he’s worried his career is over (hopefully it is!) It seems it’s just like the story of the mouse who pulls the thorn from the lion’s paw and the grateful lion says he will pay back the mouse… Only Britney Spears is the Lion and Mel Gibson is the Mouse (yeah, The Mouse Who Roared!!!)

In February of 2009, Gibson “reached out” to Spears during one of her scandals. Gibson appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show saying that Spears was “a nice kid” who succumbed to drugs. Mel Gibson said: “She’s lining up to be stoned. I just thought ‘Is anyone reaching out to her?” So, I just called her. She’s doing great now.” This was during the time after his earlier scandals when he was doing what he could to adjust his image. (The guy can be really charming, but if you look close you can see the crazy eyes!)

It was Britney’s father who did a lot at that time to get her back on track. I wonder if Mel Gibson’s parents are still alive or if any of his relatives – even back in Australia could “reach out” to him and get him to check in to get some professional mental help. I wish Mel Gibson would be on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew which is the only thing I’d ever watch him in again anyway. Drew could tackle Gibson’s addiction to racist, sexist, threatening, panting phone rants!

Anyway, I guess Britney feels obligated to help Gibson as he helped her, but really just phone calls like that isn’t the help this loony tune ranting sicko needs!

JESSICA SIMPSON AND ERIC JOHNSON IN ITALY

What a way to spend your 30th birthday – all low-key and lovey-dovey with your new boyfriend in Italy as well as in the company of a few old friends. That’s how Jessica Simpson did it as she turned the big 3 Oh on Saturday, July 10. Her friends and sweetie, Eric Johnson, surprised Simpson with a cake and the tone for the Italian trip was laid back just the way Jessica wanted it. She had commented to press that she wanted to get away to Italy to relax and apparently it was mission accomplished.

I guess she needed a break from filming the second season of her reality show, The Price Of Beauty. (I have to fess up that I haven’t seen the show yet. The one time I had the chance to catch it I passed on it for something else and I can’t even remember what!) Hey, though, I admire the woman! I’ve seen the way she stands up for herself and admire her for the way she handled the “chubby” remarks she so rudely received.  People can just be so judgmental and just mental..

Simpson’s fallen for another footballer this time, so hopefully the romance will end better than it did with Tony Romo. Interestingly, Romo broke up with Jessica on her birthday last year and now here she is on her birthday this year with a new football guy.

Eric Johnson, 30, hasn’t actually played football officially since 2008 due to an ankle injury the free agent suffered. Johnson’s played for the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints. Apparently the word on the street is that Johnson is a nice guy who won’t hurt Jessica… (hopefully, he won’t embarrass her by announcing she’s “sexual napalm” either like that ass clown John Mayer did!)

BRITNEY SPEARS’ NEW CLOTHING LINE FOR CANDIES OUT TODAY

It’s the best of times and the worst of times for Britney Spears today. July 1, 2010 marks the availability of the fashion line she designed for the Candies brand. The collection is being advertised in a series of ads featuring Spears wearing her designs.

The collection, that includes jeans, jackets, mini skirts and mini dresses, is ready for sale in Kohl’s stores. There shouldn’t be any reason that Britney’s line won’t sell, sell, sell to her targeted back to school crowd. (The fact that the dresses and skirts barely cover one’s ass(ets) shouldn’t stop them from selling – hopefully girls will wear the jeans underneath!)

As if to purposely put a damper on things, Spear’s former body guard, Fernando Flores, has chosen this time to make some shocking child abuse allegations against Britney. According to Flores, she beat one of her two sons with a belt and fed them both foods they’re allergic to which caused them to have reactions. Child services agencies will be investigating the allegations, but come on! If Flores was so concerned about the kids, why would he wait to report these things?

Could it not have something to do with the sexual harassment charges Fernando Flores filed against Britney Spears recently? Flores said he felt pressured to quit, which he did, because Spears’ wanted to sleep with him. (Something about his charges combined with waiting about reporting the alleged child abuse just doesn’t add up somehow.)

Fernando commented to the press that Britney would call him into her bedroom and would walk around naked. However, he also said she would walk around the house naked yelling at the staff and apparently no one else is suing for sexual harassment! Judging by the things Britney wears, or doesn’t, the girl probably just doesn’t like wearing too many clothes…

ADAM IS STYLIN’ IT UP THE$E DAYS

After posting pictures of his new, half-shaved hairstyle online last week, Adam Lambert has expressed surprise that people are making such a big deal about it. (Okay, hello, people have always made a big deal about celebrities’ hair – Jennifer Aniston,  Farrah Fawcett, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Donald Trump) Good or bad, attractive or scary, people for some reason love to talk about people’s hairstyles or lack thereof.

From far away I think it looks like Adam is wearing a black cat on his head. One side is shaved, but the other more than makes up for it – it’s piled high with about quadruple Donald Trump’s comb over/orange cat on his head. Adam’s really gone for a variety of textures in his new ‘do since the middle is sort of a Mowhawk and the front section hangs down low on one side of his forehead like Rihanna’s. Well, ya know, Adam Lambert can carry it off.. He’s tryin’ to keep things fresh.

The purple suit is concert fabulous. He wore it recently at a performance in Toronto, Canada. Top hats and jackets with a lot of details such as jewels and fringe are his signature looks  as are the heavily made up smoky eyes. (Hey I think I rocked that look in the 80s — just kidding!)

Well, love or hate his music, at least he is being creative in his approach. I wanted him to win American Idol, but he’s doing really well despite not winning. It seems like this year’s second-placer, Crystal Bowersox, is doing well also. I just wonder where Adam Lambert can go next with his style after being so over the top, but something tells me that he won’t run out of creative ideas. He seems destined to be a rock god no matter what people say. Well, at 28, he still probably has a lot of years left to surprise us with new looks as well as, hopefully, new sounds!

HILARY AND MIKE’S NEW BEVERLY HILLS HOME

Recently engaged couple, Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie, forked over a reported $3, 850 million dollars (hey only a little more than what her engagement ring cost lol!) for an elegant Georgian Colonial mansion in Beverly Hills. The couple, who became engaged about 4 months ago, will be living in the same ‘hood as Gwen Stefani and Celebrity Apprentice runner up, Holly Robinson Peete.

The 5 bedroom home has over 5,000 square feet of opulence including a grand staircase and marble floors in at least 1 of the 6 ½ bathrooms. The home looks very tasteful and what a house for a 23 year old! Unlike, Miley, Lindsay and Britney, Hilary’s been able to avoid a lot of scandal and instead do a lot of marketing and working. The only sort-of scandal is when press quoted her at 21 saying she was a virgin, then later taking it back – Duff says she was misquoted the first time. (So stupid anyway, who cares – it’s her business.)

The Texas born beauty had said to press “I’m a relationship person” which I guess is true as she’s about to be married at 23. Her husband to be, Mike Conrie, is a hockey player for the Canadian pro team, the Edmonton Oilers. (Good choice, Hilary. I love hockey players too.) Not one to go from Disney to films to music alone, Hilary has several merchandise lines of perfume and clothing including the catchy-named Stuff by Duff. Her next product line is a series of teen hardcover books in a deal with Simon and Schuster – the first book is said to be named “Elixir” and will most likely be out in the fall.

Anyway, she’s smart to put her money in prime Beverly Hills real estate!(I also like that she spends a lot of time helping charities involved in human rights and reducing poverty.) Good luck on the new home and the new hubby, Hilary!

NICK JONAS IS THE SUBJECT OF MILEY CYRUS’ SONG “FULL CIRCLE”

During her Saturday, May 29 concert in Portugal, Miley Cyrus sang a new song called “Full Circle.” She announced the song by saying “It’s about two people, no matter what, they’re always gonna come back together, no matter what anyone says or the bad people that try to keep you apart.”

Apparently deciding not to keep her explanation completely vague and mysterious, Miley then added “It’s a personal story… Surprise, surprise… it’s about a Jonas Brother.” Hmmm wonder what current boyfriend, Liam Helmsworth, Miley’s Australian co-star from The Last Song thinks about this. (I also wonder when Miley wrote the song, but I think I wonder too much…)

Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus first began dating in 2007. Miley said at the time that her dad, country music singer/actor, Billy Ray Cyrus, approved of Jonas. (BTW, could Miley look any more like her father?) After a break up, Miley and Nick were back together last year. This was confirmed by Nick’s brother Joe on Larry King. Larry, trying to pry Joe’s girlfriend’s name out of Joe to no avail, asked him if his girlfriend was more famous than his brother Nick’s. Joe replied “I don’t think anyone’s as famous as Miley Cyrus.”(Smooth, Joe, real smooth.)

Okay, if Miley’s song is about her relationship with Nick, does she want them to get back together and who are the “bad people” that try to keep them apart? (Better question, why in the hell do I care?) Miley Cyrus isn’t the only one that Nick Jonas has had an on-again, off-again relationship with – Selena Gomez is another.

Anyway, if I were Liam Helmsworth, I’d be maybe at least a little pissed if my girlfriend created a song about her ex and how they are “always gonna come back together, no matter what anyone says…”

MADONNA IN A NEW AD FOR MDG SUNGLASSES

It was announced in February that Material Girl, Madonna, would be designing a line of sunglasses to be released in May by popular lux fashion house, Dolce&Gabbana. Well, they made it by the end of May and several ads are out similar to the one I included above. Is it just me or is something lacking? I don’t know what it is, but the ad just doesn’t seem creative enough for some reason. (After seeing his creative ad ideas on The Celebrity Apprentice, I’d love to see what Bret Michaels would do with this one!)

The whole look, including the diamond crucifix, screams Madonna as well as Dolce&Gabbana with all the black. So what isn’t working – or again, is it just me? I’ve always thought Madonna was cool, but has she lost her cutting edge? Has she kept too much in a rut? It’s obvious that stars such as Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga were influenced by not just Madonna’s sound, but her look too.

Are the red lips, blonde waved hair, fishnets and black sexy dresses becoming too common and blase? Don’t get me wrong, Madonna looks great for her age and she’s a great talent. She’s a great choice for the Dolce&Gabbana brand. I’m just not sure the ad will convince the target market to buy the glasses. Hopefully I’m wrong. Dolce&Gabbana  (Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana respectively)  must think the Material Girl is right for their brand. The glasses are MDG – Madonna, Dolce&Gabbana with her name first after all.

By the way, I really do think Madonna is cool. If you must know, I actually watched her 80s movie, Desperately Seeking Susan yesterday. (ahh! Confessions…confessions!) It was painful to watch the 80s style flashback, but at least she was cutting edge then. I’d love to see her start a new trend again! She’s a creative and brilliant woman.

OZZIE OSBOURNE WANTED TO GET SCREAMS FROM FANS

I love Ozzie Osbourne, and he seems like the most caring, loving wonderful guy, but, let’s face it, he can look a bit scary with his long hair, little round dark glasses, Prince of Darkness outfits and stilted walk. Imagine going to New York’s Madame Tussaud’s wax museum and sitting beside the seated wax figure of Ozzie Osbourne only to have the shock of your life when the figure moves and speaks!

That really happened recently and it sent fans screaming which was just the reaction Ozzie and wife, Sharon, hoped for as they took pictures. Ozzie explained: “The title of my new album is “Scream” and we wanted to get footage of people screaming in front of me.” (OMG hopefully there was no need for museum janitors to mop the floor if you know what I mean.)

It seems to me that Ozzie and Sharon can get away with more than most people for some reason. Is it that underneath their pranks and potty mouths you can just tell they have really kind hearts? Or is it the British accents? Anyway, I just think they’re cool. I really liked the reality show they used to have, minus the pet menagerie of dogs always growling and fighting and doing their business on the carpets — Well, it was kind of funny I guess especially since they weren’t *my* carpets!

In an unrelated story from a few months ago, Ozzie reportedly gave the large, gold crucifix necklace he was wearing (part of his signature Prince of Darkness ensemble) to a homeless man. The necklace was worth about 3K and Ozzie apologized for having no change in his pockets to give the man so he unclasped his jewelry and handed it to him instead telling him to “pray on it.” The homeless man probably had to pawn it for money as well as do some praying, but it still was cool of Ozzie since it would have been easy just to use the excuse of having no cash!
