MICHAEL JACKSON DIED JUNE 25, 2009
Exactly 1 year to the day after Michael Jackson’s death, his father, Joe Jackson, filed a lawsuit against Dr. Conrad Murray. On Friday, June 25, 2010, Joseph Jackson filed a wrongful death suit against his son’s doctor based on negligence. It’s been rumored that the lawsuit mentions a figure of about $75,000 for medical negligence. Obviously the choice to file the suit on the one year anniversary of Michael’s death was strategic on Joe ‘s part.
Doctor Murray is still denying he’s responsible for Michael Jackson’s untimely death at age 50 and has pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter. I don’t really understand this because well, voluntary manslaughter means killing someone on purpose and that’s very unlikely that Dr. Murray would do that. For one thing, apparently he was being paid very handsomely to be the superstar’s doc. But, involuntary manslaughter means killing someone by accident and if the cause of Micheal Jackson’s death is the drugs that Dr. Murray administered, well then that’s involuntary manslaughter isn’t it?
Ah let’s leave that to the law experts, but also let’s not forget that the drug, propofol, that Dr. Murray administered to Michael Jackson is an anesthetic designed for hospital use to knock patients right out before surgery. It’s so sad, and extremely creepy, that Michael Jackson had such problems sleeping that he hired this doctor to totally knock him out in this way on a regular basis apparently. Isn’t a doctor then to be held responsible for doing this? We’ll have to wait and see what the courts say… But…
I can see why Joe Jackson is suing Dr. Conrad Murray and why he chose the 1 year death anniversary date to file the lawsuit. I totally can’t see why he had the nerve to blame his wife and Michael’s mother, Katherine, for Michael’s death. In the British paper, News of the World, Joe said that If Katherine would have “went and been with Michael” his untimely death wouldn’t have happened. Oh well then, Joe, no need to sue Dr. Murray anymore?
